Mountain Man Invitational — July 10–13, 2026, Ruidoso, New Mexico

Trip update & RSVP

Please let me know by Friday of this week whether you can go or not.

We have had a few have some trips, injuries, and other issues for this year's Mountain Man Invitational.

Where to stay: Hosting with Dale or Llynal, spare bedrooms, Airbnbs, hotels, and Inn of the Mountain Gods are all spelled out in the Lodging section below.

We look to take 16 people with us, so I will have room for a few more. Llynal is working on that. Dale will be in charge of the closing dinner arrangements in Alto (like last year). Llynal will be in charge of securing all tee times, with Dale's help.

Lets go, its fun, and a good time for all. Also, let me know if your wife is coming (or partner or significant other). We will plan a few things for them to do, mostly shopping, lunch, and casino.

Lodging

Trip lodging plan

Host homes and spare bedrooms. Lodging will work like last year. If you stayed with Dale or Llynal before, you are welcome to stay with them again. There is also limited space with Dennis (if he makes the trip), plus one additional spare bedroom—first come, first served on those spots.

Everyone else. Plan on an Airbnb, another hotel, or a resort room. Inn of the Mountain Gods has a fresh look and is redoing its golf greens; we may play there this year if conditions are right. If not, our rounds will focus on Alto Country Club, The Outlaw at Alto, and Rainmakers (tee sheets will be posted in Schedule when firm).

Partners and spouses. Wives, husbands, and significant others are absolutely welcome. For couples, Inn of the Mountain Gods is an especially easy choice: full-service hotel, dining, nightlife, and a large casino—great for guests while we are on the course.
